Dear Scott Elementary Families, 

Welcome to another exciting year at William J. Scott Elementary School! We are thrilled to partner with you as we continue our journey of excellence and achievement for every scholar. 

At Scott Elementary, we believe in developing a winning mindset in everything we do. Whether in the classroom, on the athletic field, on the stage, or through our extracurricular programs, we want our students to understand that success comes through effort, perseverance, and a commitment to continuous growth. Last year, our students and staff achieved remarkable accomplishments in both academics and athletics, earning recognition for academic gains and strong performance across multiple areas. While we are proud of those achievements, we believe our best days are still ahead. 

This year, we will continue to expand and strengthen our STEAM programming, providing students with engaging opportunities to think critically, solve problems, create, and innovate. At the same time, we remain laser-focused on ensuring every student develops strong foundational skills in reading, mathematics, science, and writing. Our commitment to closing achievement gaps and accelerating student learning remains at the center of our work. 

One of our key priorities will continue to be attendance. Simply put, we cannot teach students who are not in school. Everyday matters, and every minute counts. Consistent attendance is one of the strongest predictors of student success, and we ask for your partnership in ensuring your child arrives at school every day ready to learn. 

Strong schools are built through strong partnerships. We value the trust you place in us and are committed to working alongside our families to provide the very best opportunities for our students both inside and outside the classroom. Together, we can create experiences that prepare our scholars to lead, solve problems, and achieve their fullest potential.
